Aether Bros — run, jump the pit, reach the flag.
A playable level built on a flat bytecode stream: no DOM tree, no virtual DOM, no framework re-renders. Runs in the browser, installs nothing.
Aether Bros is a short side-scrolling platformer built by IONIAN Labs to test whether the Diell Sovereign Runtime can carry something genuinely interactive. Run right, jump the pit, collect the coins, and reach the flag. The entire scene is roughly half a kilobyte of bytecode mounted once against a flat state vector — the player sprite moves by a GPU transform on a slot-bound rect, so the game holds 60fps with zero reflow and zero framework re-renders. A live HUD reports frames per second, coins collected, and cumulative DOM mutations while you play.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything to play Aether Bros?
No. Aether Bros runs entirely in your browser. Nothing installs and no gameplay data is sent to a server — the level executes locally on the Diell Sovereign Runtime.
What is Aether Bros built on?
It runs on the Diell Sovereign Runtime, part of IONIAN Labs' Project Diell. The scene is a flat bytecode stream executed in a single pass against a state vector, with a host loop supplying keyboard input and physics.
How do you control the game?
Use the keyboard to run left and right and to jump. The goal is to clear the pit, collect coins, and reach the flag at the end of the level.
